Cat ToughGuard™ Hose features an abrasion resistant cover for the harshest operating conditions. It surpasses over 2 million SAE abrasion test cycles providing superior resistance against the number one cause of hose failure, abrasion.
The construction of the hose is made from an oil-resistant synthetic rubber inner tube, two plies of braided wire reinforcement, and a synthetic rubber cover with a special ToughGuard film outer sheath for high abrasion resistance. A woven or braided ply of suitable material may be used over the tube and/or over the wire.
