An Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve is designed to reduce the formation of nitrogen oxides during the combustion process. It is controlled by the Engine control unit based on various Engine parameters, such as load, speed, and temperature. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve achieves this by recirculating a controlled amount of Exhaust gases back into the Engine's intake manifold, where it mixes with the fresh air-fuel mixture entering the combustion chamber.
