A Hose Insulation maintains the temperature of the DEF fluid as it flows through the hose. DEF is a solution consisting of urea and deionized water, used in selective catalytic reduction lines to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions in diesel engines.

• Protects the hose from external factors such as abrasion, moisture, and chemical exposure
Applications:
A Hose Insulation prevents the DEF fluid from freezing or overheating, as both scenarios can negatively impact the performance and effectiveness of the SCR line, Freezing can cause blockages and damage to the line, while excessive heat can degrade the DEF fluid and reduce its ability to react with nitrogen oxides.
