Inside, the rapidly rotating drum exerts centrifugal force, causing heavier contaminants such as dirt, metal particles, and soot to be forced to the outer wall of the drum. Meanwhile, the cleaner oil collects in the center and is channeled back into circulation. The separated contaminants are periodically drained out of the system, leaving the oil clean and free from harmful particles.
