A Hydraulic Cylinder Backup Ring is used in hydraulic cylinders to enhance sealing effectiveness and prevent extrusion of the primary seal. It is installed on the piston or rod of the hydraulic cylinder and works in conjunction with the primary seal, such as an O-ring or a lip seal. The backup ring is made to provide support to the primary seal, preventing it from being forced into the extrusion gaps under high pressure or during dynamic movements.
