A Crankshaft Pulley Torsional Vibration Damper is used for vibration absorption and energy dissipation. When the engine crankshaft generates vibrations, the damper absorbs the kinetic energy and dissipates it as thermal energy. This process effectively reduces the amplitude of the vibrations, thereby protecting the engine and surrounding components from the detrimental effects of harmonic vibrations.
