A Cylindrical Roller Bearing is a type of rolling-element bearing that is engineered to support high radial loads. Its main function is to support the rotation of the pinion shaft in the crowd drive gearbox assembly. It consists of cylindrical rollers that are arranged in a line perpendicular to the axis of the bearing. The rollers are held in place by a cage or retainer, which keeps them evenly spaced and prevents them from coming into contact with each other.
