Cat hoses are designed to route liquids and gases through machine systems. These hoses are fabricated from superior materials to withstand application specific pressures, vibration tolerances, and flow requirements for Cat heavy-duty equipment. Cat hydraulic hose and couplings are subjected to the most rigorous testing processes in the industry. Every Cat hose and coupling combination is tested as a system to ensure a perfect fit that yields maximum safety and dependability. The Cat XT ES hose line-up is designed and manufactured by Caterpillar for high pressure hydraulic applications. These range from 2500 to 6000 psi (17.5 to 42.0 MPa). The ES (Enhanced Spiral) construction is a Caterpillar proprietary design and impulse tested to twice the industry standards. Cat hoses also work at half the SAE bend radius, allowing tighter routing in a wide variety of applications.
The construction of the hose is made from fabric reinforced, synthetic rubber tube; four plies of spirally-wrapped high tensile steel wire reinforcement, separated by layers of synthetic rubber. The outer cover is oil, weather, and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber.
