Every Cat hose and coupling combination is tested as a system to ensure a perfect fit that yields maximum safety and dependability.
The Cat XT ES hose line-up is designed and manufactured by Caterpillar for high pressure hydraulic applications. These range from 2500 to 6000 psi (17.5 to 42.0 MPa). The ES (Enhanced Spiral) construction is a Caterpillar proprietary design and impulse tested to twice the industry standards. Cat hoses also work at half the SAE bend radius, allowing tighter routing in a wide variety of applications.
The construction of the hose is made from fabric reinforced, synthetic rubber tube; four or six plies of spirally-wrapped high tensile steel wire reinforcement, separated by layers of synthetic rubber. The outer cover is oil, weather, and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber.
