The Piston Motor Friction Plate helps generate the necessary friction to slow down or stop the rotation of the barrel. When the brake is engaged, the brake piston applies pressure to the friction plate which is directly connected to the rotating barrel for transferring motion. The resulting friction between the plates generates resistance, gradually reducing the rotational speed of the motor.
