Description:
Cat dual Hall effect sensors, such as 598-6529, have 2 Hall elements. Elements are spaced to create waveforms that are 90° (electrical degrees) apart. The target gear has to be designed to fit the Hall cell spacing or the Hall cell spacing has to be designed to fit the target gear tooth spacing. This allows direction detection. Signal A leads Signal B or vice-versa.
