A Shim is a thin, flat, circular piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center that is used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt or a screw. A Shim can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces, and that is used to adjust the clearance between two mating surfaces or to compensate for dimensional variations.

Attributes:

Applications:
A Shim is used to fill the gap between mating components and is used in the Final Drive and brake at the Wheel at the Spindle and in the speed sensor at the adapter assembly.
