Standard Parts Return Policy
We understand that occasionally a part may need to be returned, and we are happy to accommodate your request. However, due to increased costs and penalties of returning parts to the manufacturer please observe the following guidelines covering in-store and online parts purchases.
If a part is returnable, a credit amount will be determined based on the following schedule:
- Returned parts must have been purchased from Carolina Cat.
- Returns must be initiated in-store.
- Returned parts must include proof-of-purchase (Receipt Document or Document #)
- Returned parts must be in saleable condition in original packaging.
Stocked Parts by Carolina Cat
- Parts ordered and returned within 30 days from the date of purchase (No Restocking Fee)
- Parts ordered and returned after 30 days from date of purchase (20% Restocking Fee)
- Parts ordered and returned after 90 days from date of purchase (No Credit)
- Any freight charges incurred are non-refund
Parts Not Stocked by Carolina Cat
- Parts ordered and returned within 30 days from the date of purchase (20% Restocking Fee)
- Parts ordered and returned after 30 days from date of purchase (No Credit)
- Any freight charges incurred are non-refund
- Any freight charges incurred are non-refund
Return Parts Policy Exceptions
Cores from Remanufactured Parts Sales should be returned within 90 days of original purchase date. Cores must meet Caterpillar's Core Acceptance Criteria to be eligible for full core refund. We are unable to accept returns for the following parts/products:
a) Items removed from original sealed packaging
b) Parts not returnable to Caterpillar (Parts with an asterisk(*)in the NR column of the packing list are non-stocked parts and deemed non-returnable)
c) Cut hoses and made-to-order hose assemblies
d) Any glass products
e) Electrical components
f) Chemical compounds
g) O-rings
h) Gaskets
i) Literature (Printed or Electronic Media)
