The Internal Brake Gear Ring is used in the Power Train that is attached to the final drive case. It is a stationary ring with gear teeth on its inner circumference that mesh the gear teeth on the brake disks. When the brake is engaged, the brake disks are clamped between the internal brake gear ring and the brake pack. This causes the final drive output shaft to stop rotating.
