The Drive Axle Hub is a robust and durable component made of high-strength materials. It consists of several parts, including the hub itself, wheel studs, bearings, seals, and sometimes a flange or drum for mounting brakes. The hub is mounted directly onto the axle shaft, either through a splined connection or via bolts. The primary function of the drive axle hub is to enable the rotation of the wheels while transmitting torque from the differential to the wheels. It provides a secure mounting point for the wheel assembly and ensures smooth rotation by housing bearings that allow the wheel to spin freely. Additionally, the drive axle hub may incorporate provisions for attaching braking components, such as brake drums or discs, to provide braking force when needed.
