The Jacket Water Heater for the engine's cooling system is designed to warm the coolant that surrounds the engine installed in the water jacket, this heater prevents the coolant from reaching excessively low temperatures, particularly in cold environments. The heater is activated during pre-start conditions, ensuring that the engine starts at an optimal temperature for efficient combustion. The jacket water heater is electrically powered and may use an integrated thermostat to regulate temperature.
