A roller bearing is a type of bearing that uses cylindrical or tapered rolling rollers to support and reduce friction between two moving parts. The Bearing consists of an inner ring, an outer ring, and the rollers. The inner ring is the part that is mounted onto a rotating shaft, while the outer ring is typically stationary and provides a housing for the bearing. The rollers are positioned between the inner and outer rings and allow for rotational movement between them. Based on the specific characteristics, the bearings were designed as cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, and needle roller bearings. Cylindrical rollers for high radial loads, tapered rollers for both radial and axial loads, spherical rollers for heavy radial loads, and needle rollers for limited space. Roller bearings are preferred over ball bearings because of their high load-carrying capacity.
