An Aftercooler is a component of an engine's cooling unit that helps to reduce the temperature of the compressed air produced by a turbocharger before it enters the engine's combustion chamber. It works by circulating raw water through a series of tubes or passages that are designed to transfer heat from the compressed air to the water. The aftercooler is placed in the path of the compressed air between the turbocharger and the engine's intake manifold.
