The straight sleeve bearing, also known as journal bearing is a type of bearing that uses a cylindrical sleeve to support the rotational or linear movements of the shaft. The bearing consists of a metal sleeve, usually made of brass, bronze, or other materials, that is surrounded by a layer of lubricant.
