The Screed Heater is a part used in asphalt paving machines to heat the Screed Plate. The Screed Plate is part of the paving machine that levels and smooths the asphalt as it is laid down. The assembly of the Screed Heater typically consists of a heating element, a control box, and wiring. The heating element is a metal plate that is heated by an electric current. The plate is located underneath the screed plate and heats it to a temperature that is suitable for laying down asphalt.
