Description:
A Bearing is a component of an engine that supports the crankshaft and allows it to rotate smoothly within the engine block. The main Bearing is lubricated by the engine oil, which is delivered under pressure to the Bearing surfaces. The oil film that is created between the Bearing and crankshaft helps to reduce friction and wear and also helps to dissipate heat generated by the rotating crankshaft.
