Description: An Internal Retaining Ring, also known as an internal snap ring or circlip, is a type of fastener used to secure and retain components within a bore or housing. Unlike external snap rings that fit over a shaft or pin, internal snap rings are installed inside a bore or groove to hold components in place. The main purpose of an internal snap ring is to prevent axial movement or displacement of components within a bore or housing. It acts as a retaining device, holding components such as bearings, shafts, or seals securely in place.
