REQUIRED For Replacement labeled Engines, Long Blocks, and short blocks sold within the U.S. and U.S. Territories the engine core (i.e. old engine) that is removed MUST be returned to your selling Caterpillar dealer, so that they can return to Caterpillar OR destroy, as required by law. Proof of return or destruction will then be provided to the EPA and or California ARB if required. See PELJ1301 for additional details.
BENEFITS:
• Lower cost by reusing workable components from original engine
• Reduced downtime
• Superior quality & reliability
• Quick turnarounds for maintaining productivity
Standard 12-month Warranty
The Primary Engine Arrangement represents the main functional grouping of engine components that interact to manage power generation, motion transfer, and internal operating behavior. It defines how air intake flow, fuel delivery, combustion activity, exhaust routing, lubrication circulation, and cooling flow interact through connected paths. Rotational motion is transmitted between linked components while fluid paths guide air, fuel, oil, and coolant through defined routes to support controlled operation. Control inputs interact with mechanical and fluid functions to regulate output response during varying operating conditions.
Attributes:
• Maintains defined relationships between supporting subsystems.
• Allows coordinated operation during steady state conditions.
• Enables efficient conversion of fuel into power.
Applications:
The Primary Engine Arrangement is used to coordinate core engine components so that power generation, fluid flow, motion transfer, and operating response occur in a unified and controlled manner.
