The hydraulic cylinder head or cap is connected to the rod end of a hydraulic cylinder tube or barrel by means of threading or bolts. The main function of the head is to enclose hydraulic pressure within the cylinder tube or barrel. The hydraulic cylinder head also contains an integrated rod sealing arrangement that prevents hydraulic system contamination from external particles.
