Description
The Sleeve is designed to provide precise control over the thickness of the Screed Mat during asphalt paving operations. It ensures that the mat is laid to the desired thickness, contributing to the smoothness and quality of the finished pavement. The Threaded Rod is rotated in a counterclockwise direction to make adjustments to the Sleeve. Counterclockwise rotation of the rod results in the rod moving upward, causing the sleeve to move vertically, thereby altering the thickness of the Screed Mat. The assembly consists of parts like Tubes, bosses, and Plates.
Attributes: • Designed to withstand the forces and vibrations • Acts as a guide and support for other parts • The threaded rod used in the Sleeve is a 1-8 ACME threaded rod and the 1-8 specification refers to the thread pitch, which means there is 1 thread per 8 units of length
Applications: The Sleeve is used on the Right Hand Side of the Screed Mat Thickness Control is adjusted and controlled by the operator of the asphalt paving equipment and the operator monitors and adjusts the sleeve assembly settings based on the desired Screed Mat Thickness, and paving conditions.
