A Lip Type Seal creates a seal between the generator housing and the rotating shaft of the generator. This seal prevents dirt, dust, water, lubricant, and grease from entering or exiting the generator housing. The elastomeric sealing lip is the primary sealing element and is in direct contact with the rotating shaft.
