Cat Reman camshafts such as part # 10R7155 are made of high-grade steel, precision balanced for long life. Camshafts open and close the air intake and exhaust valves in an internal combustion engine. The camshaft is a rotating rod with lobes or raised cams, that force the valves open as it rotates. Each cam controls one valve. Returned cores are completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and inspected for reusability. We use our state-of-the-art salvage techniques, advanced manufacturing systems, and quality control to return viable components to like new condition. Each unit is heat-treated using a patented process that delivers high strength and outstanding wear characteristics.
